Thrifty Frogg’s Origin Story

Dreams of Thrifty Frogg’s Shoppe came to be in 2017 after a very long walk in the woods. Our founder, Arthur, found himself on a new trail after leaving his career at the family business. That trail being the Appalachain Trail.

At the end of that 2,198 mile thru hike of the A.T. he got a job doing junk removal. On his first day training they went to remove a nice desk. His trainer instructed him to go to the truck and get a hammer. They destroyed that desk and took it to the dump. Upset by that, he decided people should have better choices. So he did something about it.

Green Team Junk was what came of that day, an environmentally conscious junk removal business that takes the time to sort, donate, and recycle all the items that people don’t need, but need not be landfilled.

We haul just about anything except hazardous waste. We are what other junk removal companies profess to be. Arthur worked for one of the others before. We are not them, and will never be. We are Green Team!

But that wasn’t the full dream.

Arthur wanted to be able to reward hauling customers that called us to remove good condition items with discounts.

This gives customers good reasons to go with us, we are cheaper, we recycle, we keep their items out of landfill, and then find them new homes too.

As a result Thrifty Frogg’s Shoppe is not your ordinary thrift shop. We are a hauling company at heart, keeping the community we serve front of mind.

We sort through the junk and find the gems for our customers. We bring old pieces back to life doing restoration and repurposing. But most of all we are proud that we are able to find items that would otherwise end up in landfill, but we get them into people’s hands that need them.

We take donations too, don’t hesitate to bring your items that need a new home over to us!

Come shop our store, or call us for hauling services at 530-444-0555 we look forward to hearing from you!

DO BETTER WITH US!
